Hi Vitek:

Thank you for hosting our club this past weekend. I think I can speak for all, we had a great time. My wife Audrey especially appreciates the welcome she received from all of you. For me it was a very unique and exciting weekend. I have always been a snub when it came to flying waves. I thought that XC flying is the only way to go, but I must say, flying the wave in Wenatchee was new exciting and relaxing. On Sunday I had a altitude gain of 15,374 feet, the low was 1,260 feet, the high was 16,634 feet, what a rush.

Thanks again for a great weekend. Looking forward to fly in Wenatchee again,

Regards,
J.C.

Subj: from the french student ! Date: 02-05-01 11:36:13 EDT (May 5, 2002) From: bbretagnol@hotmail.com (Bertrand Bretagnol) To: viteks@aol.com Hello to the entire CCS team ! I am Bertrand Bretagnol, the french student who was looking for an internship in an english-speaking country near a soaring club. I contacted you some monthes ago and I have just realised that you published my request on the message board of CSS internet site. I would like to thank you a lot for helping me to find an intership. I have searched all around the world and sent e-mail to many industrial companies and soaring clubs (in Australia, USA, South Africa.). I finally received a positive answer from EADS SOCATA, a famous french aircraft manufacturer (TBM 700 and TB GT, here in France most of the tow planes are Socata's " Rally ") and my work in it is very interesting. So I am writing you to inform that you can remove my demand from the internet site. The SOCATA manufacture is located on Lourdes Airport in the South West of France where life, weather and cuisine are very pleasant. Of course I am now a new member of the " Association Velivole de Tarbes " (Tarbes soaring society) and I fly above the Pyrennees mountains every day I can, on 'C101 Pegasus'. I would have been very happy to meet you and discover your country and your soaring club. You seem to have exceptional flying conditions at Cascade, Ouahouuu !! I want to say thank you again for helping me and I wish you very nice thermals for this season. THANK YOU VERY MUCH ! PS : Since, I am not near my school, I don't use my email adress @utbm, I hope nobody tried to join me with it. I hope you have understood my english. The website's great ! thank you Bertrand.

HELLO GLIDER PILOTS !,

My name is Bertrand Bretagnol, I have passed my glider pilot licence this
year in France and I am really keen on soaring (110 hours of flight now).

I am at present studying mechanics at the University of Technology of
Belfort-Montbéliard (UTBM) in France. I am in my fifth year of a five year
degree course.
Our curriculum requires a six month industrial placement (28 jan. 13 jul
2002) consisting in working as a junior engineer and I would like to do it
in an english speaking country.

I am writing you because I also want to keep gliding during my training
period. That is why I am searching for a company near a club in order to
join it. Maybe one of your members can help me to find a internship in a
company ?

The topic of this internship can be about research and development, methods
and processes, production systems, maintenance, quality, industrialization,
production workshop, materials etc…

Please let me know if somebody is interrested in my application.

Enclosed files : my resume and more details about the internship.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND HAVE NICE FLIGHTS !!!

Bertrand
