TV 1 Enclosed Trailer

The TV 1 sailplane trailer is suited for any 15-meter sailplane and is specifically fitted for the L33 Sólo. It is constructed of a fiberglass shell, white on the top and custom color on the bottom half (red or blue are the most commonly chosen colors). The towing bar and axle are the well proven German Knott GB7.1190 with Knott KF 7,5 surge brakes, which are found on the more expensive Cobra and komet trailers. The trailer can be comfortably towed behind a passenger car equipped with a 50 mm (1-7/8") towing ball. The interior is fitted with a system of dollies and brackets enabling an easy two-person glider assembly and disassembly in twenty to thirty minutes. The trailer has two lockable doors, one of which serves as a loading ramp for the fuselage dolly. The electrical wiring connects position lights, brake lights, turning lights, and fog light. The trailer connection is of the standard European plug type and easily motifiable to American plugs. The trailer has superior road handling (70mph and no sway even when passed by a Semi-truck). Also the TV 1 can be used as the shipping container for the L33 as the shaft, axle and fenders can be demounted.
